The Collection Phares was created in 2003 to transmit the history of surrealism.

This series of documentaries was initiated by Aube Elléouët-Breton (André Breton and Jacqueline Lamba's child), and her daughter Oona Elléouët, in coproduction with Seven Doc.

 

The Collection Phares is published by Les Editions Publialp and distributed by Les Studios Win Win on boxsets containing a DVD and a booklet. They are available online and in bookshops. Each boxset contains one (or more) original documentaries about an artist, with a booklet spanning his life and work.

In 2023, the Collection Phares goes digital with the opening of a video-on-demand platform dedicated to its titles.

​

The films are screened in public projections as well as during national and international exhibitions.

​The documentaries titles are also proposed to national and internation television channels.
